Rules

2026

  1. We are offering a four-race series.
    • 125 Mile
    • 200 Mile
    • 250 Mile
    • 300 Mile
  2. All birds must be banded with a 2026 seamless band recognized by a National Organization.
  3. Accepting birds from March 1st through May 31st.
  4. Will Accept replacement birds before June 30th.
  5. The loft capacity is 700 birds, we are limiting entries to 500 birds. First-come, first-served.
  6. Perch Fee is $150 per bird or 5-bird team for $650.
  7. Entries are limited to 100 teams of 5 birds per team.
  8. The perch fee must be sent with the birds.
  9. All bird must be vaccinated for PMV-POX and 45 days or older.
  10. The Entry Fee is $300 per bird.
  11. Entry fees must be paid after the 100 Mile Activation Race and before the 125 Mile Race.
  12. All birds must be activated to maintain eligibility.
  13. All birds will have their 9th and 10th flight pulled.
  14. Birds not activated by the time of the 125 Mile Race will become the property of Alabama Slammer and may be activated by another breeder.
  15. Entry fees will be refunded if the bird does not make it to the 125 Mile Race.
  16. Race dates are subject to change due to weather conditions and the condition of the birds.
  17. Prizes will be awarded by clocking order except for the final race.
  18. The final 300 Mile Race will be paid on the first drop and then clocking order.
  19. All races are open for 48 hours from the time of release.
  20. 10% of entry fees will be held for race expenses.
  21. Races will be flown in October.
  22. If a bird does not clock and is known to have been in the drop, the bird will be entered as the last bird in that drop. If there is a tie, the birds will share that prize equally.
  23. In the event that no birds clock within the 48-hour period all money will be divided equally among actual birds sent to that particular race and refunded minus 10%.
  24. Birds will be shipped back at the breeder’s expense at the current USPS rate + the cost of a new box.
  25. Birds not claimed 10 days after the last race will become the property of Alabama Slammer.
  26. The Race Manager reserves the right to make all final decisions.
  27. To enter the race, participants must be 21 years or older and are responsible for all applicable taxes.
  28. W-9 forms will need to be completed if winnings are $600 or more.
